US fest busy with screening Iran short film ‘Autumn Leaves’

Iran short film ‘Autumn Leaves’ is set to be screened at One Reel Film Festival in the US.

The short directed by Saman Hosseinpuor will be shown during the running dates of Seattle-based event from September 1 through September 3.

A production of the Art Bureau (Hozeh-Honari) affiliated to Iran-based Islamic Development Organization,  ‘Autumn Leaves’ tells the story of a little girl who wants to stay at home and play with a fallen leaf but must go to school instead.

“It is a subtle, dialogue-free film full of beautiful shots and showing a side of Iran not normally seen by Westerners,” a rave review for the film read.

Chief among the film's successes are the Best Short Short Film award (for films under five minutes) granted at the 10th FILMSshort competition which is a prestigious international platform for short films across the globe.

The One Reel Film Festival is one of the nation's best attended short format festivals in the US. The annual festival is a spectacular showcase and entertains more than 150,000 people around the world.
